Umbrella Today?
I found Umbrella Today earlier this week and just love the idea. It strips the weather down to the essential question. Though the website’s simplicity is what draws me to it, I’d also like to see Jacket Today and Shorts Today at some point.
This single-function-website trend is really starting to take form. I find myself using websites like Down For Everyone or Just Me and Does Follow on a regular basis. There’s also Do I Need a Flash Intro, which is perfect for a good laugh.
Post any other single-function websites you know of in the comments. Maybe I should change my site to Destroy Today?. (wink)

By far my favorite single-service site is http://isitchristmas.com/ They even have RSS, so you can stay informed day to day on whether or not it’s Christmas.
I’ve been using Umbrella Today for a few months and I love it. Every morning I get that text saying whether or not I need an umbrella, and it gets me ready for the rest of the day. I’m glad you found it, too.

I had an iPhone app installed which offered the same, though it wasn’t as accurate as this web-site seems to be. There is however an app in the appstore which offers push notifications for umbrella requirement, though the name currently eludes me.

i’m a big fan of umbrella today, however, it really is kind of a let down to get their text alerts in the middle of the afternoon..while standing in the rain!
@Chad — I’ve heard similar stories. I don’t use the text alert, so I wouldn’t know, but it’s a nice resource when the skies are looking doubtful.
i signed up for this a few months ago and just unsubscribed. the idea is really cool, but i specified what time i wanted to receive the message and it never came on time. telling me i need an umbrella 3 hrs after i get to work doesn’t really help me much unfortunately.
