DestroyFlickr 1.0.4 Alpha Release
Today marks the release of DestroyFlickr 1.0.4 Alpha. I know I’ve been releasing an update every few days or so, but think of it as a good thing—the next release will include an automatic update checker/installer, so you’ll always be notified of the newest version.
Now, this release has a lot of updates, fixes, features—whatever you want to call them. Tired with the standard, cookie-cutter About window in all Adobe AIR applications, I decided to customize the one for DestroyFlickr. I felt it needed to show the version number somewhere. Loading in 1.0.4 is also improved—all loading processes are accounted for. I’ve added user authentication that will be useful down the road when uploading/deleting photos is added. At the moment, it allows you to view private photos and contacts. Next is the Profile page. It has been completely redone, so let me know what you think. You will also notice there are labels for photos in both the Profile and Photos pages and contacts in the icon menu (Thanks to Colin for the suggestion). Make sure you are well aware of the searching feature in both the Photos and Contacts pages (Thanks to Curt for the suggestion). Last, but not least, you can use the enter key to submit any forms. So, that’s it. The next release will see the in-application updater and easier navigation in the Photo page.
